Most recently, I've edited an hour long documentary about Touchstone Farm. This film will be used to help the community fundraise for their new ecovillage and renovations. The documentary focuses on the people, history, and evolution of Touchstone Farm in Western Massachusetts. Members of this community are known for their uplifting music, recorded in their on-site studio; for their world renowned Sacred Circle dancing; and for their herb, flower, and meditation gardens. Without a specific philosophy to limit them, founders and residents live with "a different bottom line"- one that is rooted in honoring each individual's worth in the world. This film is made possible in part by the Easthampton Cultural Council and the Northampton Arts Council. It will be premiering in May at several venues in the local area. A 10 minute video was produced for William's College to illustrate a January Term trip to Nicaragua in which students distributed eye care. This was an offshoot of a partnership that's been developed between Backwards Brain and The Rural Eyeglass Project. The College distributed the video to the participating students. A 22 minute promotional fundraising video was recently produced for the non-profit group Compas De Nicaragua (Friends of Nicaragua). The video is played for audiences in the U.S when the Directors go on tour to raise awareness for the project Women In Action. This sample focuses on the microlending and delegation programs that are offered through the project.
